Osmo Wizards

Osmo Wizards will use state of the art technology to explore 4 main concepts. Students will code and solve challenging puzzles, master number sense with number tiles, create shapes with tangrams and practice spelling! All of these “games” are interactive and focus on deeper thinking rather than drilling. Games can also be played in teams or independently.

Each student will construct and take home a science toy in every class. This is a hands-on, interactive, Friendly Spanish Immersion (“FSI”) program designed specifically for Kindergarteners. The younger the children are when gaining exposure to a new language the easier it is for them to learn and retain it. The curriculum consists of language time (vocabulary words), exercise time (command words like jump, skip, walk, run, etc.) hands on activities (puzzles, books), music (singing & playing instruments), art projects, games and much more. This is an absolutely engaging and fun program for Kindergarteners! Kindergarteners love it and learn much more. New material is introduced each session.

Students will start learning how to sew with Styrofoam plates & fun, colorful embroidery thread. Then they will transition on to fabric and an embroidery hoop. Techniques learned: using fabric, tying knots, tracing/drawing their own designs. Ultimately, they will graduate to stitching around objects on printed fabrics.

Spanish Academy

Children will learn the Spanish language in a fun, comfortable learning environment. Material is presented in an engaging, interactive, and useful manner. Students will learn real Spanish in an immersion setting, as well as become familiar with cultural elements of Spanish-speaking countries. The curriculum consists of learning: ABC’s, numbers, colors, vocabulary words, phrases (conversation), poems, songs, art projects, games and much more. Students will take home material to show the work that they are doing in class and to practice at home with the parents. The goal of this program is to attain conversational skills. New material is introduced each session.

This includes a Spanish Book that will take students from 2-3 years, plus extra hand-outs for the first session (8 weeks); students won’t need to buy/pay for the book again, only for extra hand-outs/materials for the remainder of the year.
